We are facing troubled times in this great nation. Our schools, local businesses, shopping malls, even our churches, are unjustifiably under attack by criminals. Aspects of our society have failed and we must take action to correct them.
The Eaton County Sheriff’s Department reported in their annual report that in 2006, 16 of the 32 criminal classifications tracked have increased over the previous year*. Crimes such as aggravated and non aggravated assaults, narcotics offenses, and larcenies are on the rise. The Eaton County Sheriff's Department needs reform. Not all of the programs that are in place today are working. An effective law enforcement leader must develop crime awareness programs for the community, targeting business, agriculture, senior citizens and schools. Traditional services still have some value but they need modernization. I will work tirelessly for you as your Sheriff, to deliver the very best law enforcement for Eaton County.
